Battle Grounds2014 Event Series

Five months. Six tournaments. One Starcraft 2 Grand Champion.

This year's circuit notched stops in Atlanta and Detroit, in addition to North American, Global, and Open Online Qualifiers. The victors from these five events – Scarlett, Bomber, DRG, Cure, and Polt – joined 2013's Grand Champion, PartinG, runner-up, sOs, and the winner of MLG Anaheim, Trap, at the Grand Finals in Washington, D.C., where Atlanta's winner, Bomber, was ultimately crowned Grand Champion.

North America

Broadcast live from the Red Bull eSports Studio in Santa Monica, the N.A. qualifiers were a series of tournament days only open to North American competitors. Scarlett ultimately emerged victorious over Polt in the Finals, which secured her an invite to Battle Grounds D.C.

This competition was open to any and all globally. When all was said and done, DRG was crowned victor after squaring off in a unique, 3-day tournament, where he earned his slice of the $10k prize purse and a spot at the Battle Grounds Grand Finals in D.C.

Atlanta

An open, 3-day competition that took place in the heart of the South. Bomber was triumphant after fighting for the lion's share of the $25,000 prize, also landing him a seat at the Grand Finals in Washington, D.C.

Online Open

This was a free-for-all, open to any and all regions. Cure ultimately won out, earning his seat to the Grand Finals in one of the toughest player pools in all the stops of Battle Grounds' 2014 Event Series.

128 players convened for an open, 3-day competition smack dab in the middle of Motown. Polt finally qualified for D.C. after numerous attempts to do so throughout the entire 2014 season. He earned the majority of the $25,000 prize pool, and a ticket to Washington for the Grand Finals.
